Seer a poet?!

Post by SeekingSeer on Sun Aug 16, 2009 4:54 pm

Here... I will just place some of my poetry if I feel like it. I have so many and more might come on the way, but I will only place a select few here for all to view. You may comment and do as you wish.

Web of Lies

Web, spin a web of lies.
Can you catch the flies?
There he goes, walking by.

Can you see them?
Can you catch them in a web of lies?
How many of tried, how many have failed?
Are you one?

Tongue twisters and sophisticated explanations,
Can you see their lamentations?
spin, spin a web.

Will you get caught?
Or are you experienced in the art of webs?
Are you the sly trickster?
A fox or a pup?

Will you spin a web, a web of lies when judged?
Dear trickster, cunning thief, do you see your way?
A way full of fibs you don't own?

When you are caught, run with your tail between your legs.
I am sure you will blend.
Fix your web if you dare.
Everyone knows you're a lie, and knows your lair.

Can you bend and mend?
Go, go spin a web of lies, so long as you defend.
But remember, when caught, you are a fly in your web of lies.

This one I had published under a pen name. You might be familiar with it.

Here is another poem I had done a few years ago:

Red

The sky is clear blue,
Green is forest vine;
Red is the color
Of the roses we find.

The sun's ray is golden yellow,
White is the creamy milk;
Red is the flower
Attached to the silk.

Black is the night,
Delicate perfume is pink;
Red is the gem ring
Of your missing link.

Slaves

Iron shackles, steel bonds.
The voice of the master bellows.
The whip is held high on thine back hounds.

Cold sweat and warm blood trickles openly.
Eyes of desperation are downcast hopelessly
As cries rise from the confinment.

From dawn to dusk the whistle rings
And voices unite to sing songs unsung
Allowing the hurt to the wind linger.

Dare to dream of freedom
Where hands are free and feet can run
And smiles are welcomed.

The whip sounds, anger brews.
Rise up now and take your dues.
Rebel against the tyrant of equal men.

Voices rise now not in song, but of vengence.
Let them hear what they could not see.
That we are all one, and all free.

Banish the hate and the tears,
Take away the hurt and fears,
And sew the open woud, the open rift between men.

My fingers trace the engraved pain
And ears hear the cry echoed in the graves.
Hush now for you have won what was only dreamed
.

Wow. They're all beautiful, but I expected no less after our rp. I think red is my favorite. The picture it forms in my mind is just wonderful. <3

Thank you, both of you. I appreciate your comments.

Savfantasy: Really? I am surprised. Red wasn't my favorite lol.

MysticPower: lol thank you. Yes. It is under the pen name of Kitsune Riidaa I believe. I don't use that pen name anymore so I don't quite remember. It is in the electronic library and published in a book of poetry by poetry.com. I wrote it about two or three years ago.

I wrote Red in middle school and Slaves recently this year. Last month.

I love the other two as well; they both seem very deep, and both kind of sad. I love the simplicity of Red. Plus, color imagery has always been one of my favorite things, which might have something to do with it. ^^;
