Harry Potter

Post by LunarScorpio on Fri Sep 11, 2009 9:15 pm

I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to put this topic up. I have quite a few obsessions in my life and one of the big ones is, Harry Potter.

I’ve read all of the books and I have all of the movies thus far. I’ve seen most, if not all, of the movies at the midnight showing when it was first coming to theaters. Also, I have both the Psychology of and the Philosophy of books that go along with it. I also have The Tales of Beedle the Bard but I haven’t had a chance to read them yet. So, with that all said, who else here likes Harry Potter and would like to talk about it?

Eee. <3

I've read all the books and seen all the movies 'cept the sixth. I went to the midnight party for the seventh book; me and my mom BOTH had it read through before the next night. >_>

Tales of Beedle the Bard is pretty interesting, and admirably gruesome like real fairy tales. I got it for Christmas. Prob'ly should reread it.

I didn't get into Harry Potter until the sixth book was about to come out, do you believe it? I read 1-5 between school and work in two months, then the sixth and seventh I had finished within a day when I got them at the midnight releases.

I really need to read Tales of Beedle the Bard. I can see it from where I'm sitting even, lol.

I've read all of the books, except the last. I've gotten half-way through and then I just can't make myself read anymore... I just got bored >_<

I saw two of the movies... Goblet of Fire, and Chamber of Secrets... I don't watch movies very often, usually I just read. I've heard good things though.

I got into the books when I was, like, six or seven. XD I scared my teachers by doing reading tests based on them when I was in second grade. It was great.

Lesse...I've been following Harry Potter since the first movie came out. Right after my Mom brought me to see it, I set out reading the first book. I was so far gone by the first chapter. Ever since then, I've been a Harry Potter fangirl. When the books come out, I'm one of the nerds dressed in Hogwarts robes hanging out outside Books-A-Million until midnight.

Lol. I have all of the books, all movies currently out, The Tales of Beedle the Bard, a giant Harry Potter poster behind me,a time turner, a copy of Hermione's wand, Hogwarts robes, and I HAD a Harry Potter giant standee. Like the ones in Wal-Mart. My Dad could get them since he worked there. Oh, and I have the games for Chamber of Secrets, and Prisoner of Azkaban.

Almost forgot. I bought What will happen in book 7? As soon as it came out.
I'm also an avid buyer of Harry Potter candy . Every flavor beans anyone?

Yes, I am a Harry Potter nerd, and I'm proud.

*salutes as the Hogwarts School Song plays*

Let's see, what do I have?

I have all of the video games, though I haven't played them all yet. I have the original Scene It board game for it (I want the newer one too). I have Harry's wand with the tip that lights up (my future mother-in-law got it for me), also I have a banner with all of the house crests on it. All of the books, of course, and it's the chest with all of them. Oh, I also have an agenda book. I think I have more stuff too, but I can't think of it right now, lol.

Oh, and I LOVE chocolate frogs, droobles, and every flavored beans!

Mmm, Bertie Bott's beans. My only thing against them is the white ones that I ate by mistake as a kid. Sardine flavor. Ew.

I wish I had a little more merchandise. All I've got it a Gryffindor t-shirt (even though I'd be Ravenclaw, I think) and a poster from the 7th book release.

Oh yeah! I have two t-shirts and I just got a jacket a few months ago, lol. Forgot about those.

Oh! Does anyone have any good house quizzes? I've taken a ton and I really have no idea where I'd be placed at this point, lol.
